Level I  Policy Manual Audit

This service includes an audit of the local board manual to check for policies required by state or federal law, regulations, or recommended by WSSDA. A report is prepared for the board with WSSDA's observations in missing policies and those policies needing to be updated, as well as the organization and format of the district manual. The report includes suggestions for future policy work. This service is recommended as a first step for districts that want to proceed to update the district policy manual on their own.   Cost: $945

Level II Full Service Manual Revision

This service includes an inspection of the local board policy manual against the WSSDA Reference Manual. The inspection covers a "policy-by-policy analysis" of all district policies-- including those customized by the district to meet its unique needs. The analysis report identifies any inconsistencies or non-compliance issues. This service is recommended for districts with policy manuals that are out-of-date, incomplete or inconsistent with current district practices. WSSDA will meet with the board and district administrators to prepare for the review process. Comprehensive reports will be provided to the board as well as electronic copies of revised policies and a final new district policy manual.   Cost: $5800

Level III Policy Manual Maintenance Service

Districts are eligible to contract for an annual Policy Manual Maintenance Service if they've completed a Level II Full Service Manual Revision within the last three years. District policy manuals will be audited for policy updates in the years since the last full manual revision and recommendations for revised policies will be prepared electronically for board review and adoption. This service includes a review of customized district policies, word processing, policy consultation and a board presentation.   Cost: Variable (dependent on needed services)
