Reserving Your Hotel for Annual Conference

A wide variety of hotels for every budget is offered for this year’s conference. And, making hotel reservations is easier than ever through the Spokane Housing Bureau. You can take a virtual tour of hotel options, see immediately where hotel rooms are available and book your reservations right online.

Keep in mind that you must be registered for the conference to reserve rooms at the discounted conference rates. Designated conference hotels also offer low- or no-cost parking and free shuttles to the Convention Center and DoubleTree Hotel.

Hotel reservation guidelines

  1. Conference registration or a "paid in full" exhibitor fee is required prior to confirming a hotel room.  The hotel reservation will be canceled within 3 days of the booking if there is no accompanying conference registration by that time.
  2. The deadline for making hotel reservations at the conference rate is October 31.
  3. All reservations must be made through the Spokane Housing Bureau.  Hotels will not take reservations directly.
  4. One person may reserve more than one room provided that the contact and credit card information are the same for all and names of all occupants are known and provided.
  5. All reservations must be guaranteed by one of the following methods:
  • The preferred method for guaranteeing reservations is by credit card. Your credit card will not be charged prior to arrival and at check-in you may pay by another method.
  • Faxing or mailing a school district purchase order to the hotel immediately following receipt of hotel confirmation number so an account for billing purposes can be set up prior to arrival.
  1. Reservation requests will be processed in the order received.  A confirmation e-mail will be sent directly from the hotel within two business days.  Please save the confirmation e-mail as it will include a link to follow in case you need to modify or cancel your reservation.
  2. Reservations canceled within 72 hours of the arrival date will be charged one night room and tax.
  3. An early departure fee will be charged unless the hotel is notified at check-in of a change in planned length of stay.
  4. Following online registration for the WSSDA Conference, click the “Make Hotel Reservation Online” link at the bottom of this page.
  5. To receive the conference rate, reservations must be made by October 31, 2008.  Reservations following this date may be made directly with the hotels. These reservations are on a space-available basis and may not receive the special conference rate.  If you cannot find lodging after October 31, you may call the Spokane Housing Bureau for assistance.
