WSSDA is again offering its popular one-day workshop "Board Self-assessment and Superintendent Evaluation."

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Puget Sound ESD in Renton. For registration forms and other details, click here.

This workshop, designed as a work session for the school board-superintendent team, will cover all the elements of the evaluation process. Topics include:

• Establishing goals for the superintendent evaluation

• Developing the evaluation instrument

• Determining the materials for the mid-year and final evaluations

• Developing board self-assessment instruments

• Reviewing techniques for a successful evaluation

• Understanding superintendent contract issues

• The legal ins and outs of contracts, renewal and improvement plans

• How to research salary information

Each participant will receive the updated WSSDA manual, The Evaluation Process: Board Self-Assessment and Superintendent Evaluation.
