Directors meeting: Jan. 19-20, 2007

The Board of Directors of the Washington State School Directors’ Association will hold its next meeting on
Friday and Saturday, Jan. 19-20, at the WSSDA Conference Center in
Olympia. The meeting will begin at
7:00 p.m. Friday and resume Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
Items on the agenda include:
Final approval of the association's annual budget for 2007;
A briefing on the 2007 legislative session and shared funding priorities
among WSSDA and other education organizations;
Discussion regarding proposed changes to the math graduation requirement;
Update on WSSDA's application for an assessment under the Washington State
Quality Award program;
Discussion regarding WSSDA's Diversity Awards program;
Review and approval of the schedule for WSSDA Spring Regional Meetings;
Review of a progress report on the WSSDA Strategic Plan; and
Updates on the NW Conference on Celebrating Educational Opportunities for
Diverse Students and the Washington State Learning First Alliance.
