Directors meeting: March 30-31, 2007

The Board of Directors of the Washington State School Directors’ Association will hold its next meeting on
Friday and Saturday, March 30-31, at the WSSDA Conference Center in
Olympia. The meeting will begin at
7:00 p.m. Friday and resume Saturday at 8:00 a.m.*
Items on the agenda include:
Selection of an appointee to fill the vacant position of WSSDA Vice
President;
Review of WSSDA's application for an assessment under the Washington State
Quality Awards program;
A briefing on the 2007 legislative session and the status of WSSDA's
legislative priorities;
Discussion and possible action regarding revisions to WSSDA's Diversity Awards program;
Review of a progress report on the WSSDA Strategic Plan; and
Updates on the NW Conference on Celebrating Educational Opportunities for
Diverse Students and the Washington State Learning First Alliance.
*The board will interview vice president candidates in open
session from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday. Following the interviews, the
board will meet in executive session to discuss the qualifications
of the candidates. No decisions will be made in executive session;
the board will resume its regular (open) meeting at 8:00 a.m.
Saturday.
