Directors meeting: May 18-19, 2007

The Board of Directors of the Washington State School Directors’ Association will hold its next meeting on
Friday and Saturday, May 18-19, at the WSSDA Conference Center in
Olympia. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. Friday and resume
Saturday at 8:00 a.m.
Items on the agenda include:
Consideration of a board position regarding EHJR 4204, the proposed
constitutional amendment on simple majority;
A briefing on the 2007 legislative session and the outcome of WSSDA's
legislative priorities;
A presentation on the findings and recommendations of the WSSDA
communications audit;
Possible action on four proposed revisions to WSSDA's bylaws;
Discussion of a draft position paper developed by the WSSDA Student
Achievement Task Force; and
Discussion regarding preparations for revising the WSSDA Strategic Plan at
the August board retreat.
