Get ready for the 2007 Legislative Assembly by previewing the Assembly handbook, now available online.

The handbook includes more than 60 proposals for consideration by the Assembly. It also provides the preliminary agenda, rules of procedure, standing legislative positions and bylaws. By reviewing the handbook in advance, school directors equip themselves to become effective participants in the process of establishing WSSDA's priorities for the 2008 legislative session.

It's not too late to register for the 2007 Legislative Assembly, which takes place September 21–22 at the Yakima Convention Center. Pre-registration for the Assembly is $195 through Sept. 7. If you are paying by district purchase order, you may register online or use the printable registration form. If you are paying by check, please register by mail using the printable registration form. After Sept. 7, registration is $220 and must be completed onsite at the Assembly. There will be a $50 charge for cancellations received after Sept. 7. No-shows are not eligible to receive refunds.
