Large Schools Caucus Meets Tuesday, March 9
Prepare for Week on the Hill legislator meetings by attending the Large Schools Caucus taking place Tuesday, March 9 from 9-10:30 a.m.
In conjunction with the WSSDA-WASA-WASBO Legislative Conference, each year, we organize meetings with legislators, planning meetings, and various caucus meetings.
The Large Schools Caucus is a great networking opportunity for school directors and superintendents representing large school districts from across the state. At this meeting, we would like to discuss:
- How you are serving secondary students?
- Has your staff had COVID-19 vaccine access and availability?
- What critical updates do you need from OSPI/DOH/L&I to plan for the opening of the 2021-22 school year?
- What supports do you need prioritized for the COVID-19 recovery in this legislative budget cycle?
We will be utilizing Mentimeter.com for our discussion, so if at all possible, please try to join the meeting from a computer so that you can respond to the Mentimeter questions via your cell phone.
Additional caucus meetings
In addition to the Large Schools Caucus, WSSDA is hosting an Equity and Access Caucus, and student meetings. The first two meetings below are limited to school board members and superintendents, but the students’ meeting is open to any student advocate.
